Twenty years ago, Cynthia Ellner was considered a rarity: a female president of a California-based bank. During her time as president of Cal Trust Bank, she oversaw the company’s transition from a corporation on the decline to one of the most successful and profitable trust companies in California. In 1993, she became president of California Pension Administrators and Consultants Inc., taking on $200 million in retirement assets for more than 180,000 people. Ten years later, she was appointed president of Wyoming Pension Administrators and Consultants. Still president of California Pension Administrators and Consultants Inc., Ellner regularly delivers speeches and runs seminars about retirement planning, trusts, wills and estates. She has also written related articles that have appeared in both local and national publications. – Kaysie Ellingson OC METRO's 2009 Hot 25 honorees: Toby Bost | Mike Gillespie | Anil Puri | Sean Collins Kevin Boylan & T.K.
