Then & now: Managing partner, Ernest C. Brown & Co.
Ernest Brown is an expert in construction litigation, public works projects and contract management. He has resolved more than 2,500 construction disputes. And since being named to the first Hot 25 list, he has expanded his career, serving as counsel on numerous legal cases and projects. Among his clients over the years: the Honda Center, Carquinez Suspension Bridge and Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.
This past summer, Brown published “California Infrastructure Projects: A Legal Handbook for Successful Contracting and Dispute Resolution.”
He’s experienced his share of tragedy, however. He was widowed in 1997, but Brown says he’s proud of the parenting job he’s done. “I have raised my kids well.”
