In the’80s and early ’90s, Kathryn Braun Lewis served as executive vice president Irvine-based Western Digital, which had $1.07 billion in annual sales. Lewis was responsible for the company’s business operations. Upon her arrival into the division in 1981, the company’s sales totaled $15 million, nearly a decade after being under her leadership, sales grew nearly 75 percent of the company’s total gross revenue, anticipating to earn $750 million. Lewis eventually became Western Digital’s president and chief operating officer. She left the company in 1998 and became involved in the nonprofit organizations Share Our Selves and THINK Together.
