WHAT YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR WORK: I feel that what I am doing makes a difference in the lives of kids. I love the challenge of keeping on top of emerging Internet safety issues and finding innovative ways to reach kids with these important safety messages.

PROFESSIONAL PHILOSOPHY: Bring the very best minds and resources together to create positive change on social issues.

PROUDEST PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT, AND WHY IT STANDS OUT: My proudest achievement is the knowledge that Web Wise Kids programs have impacted the lives children across the United States. We have given those children the valuable tools they need to have a safe and rewarding online experience.

ADVICE FOR WOMEN ENTERING THE WORK FORCE: Work hard, keep educating yourself on more effective ways to reach your goals, stay open to input and change in order to maximize opportunity, and never give up.

YOUR MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT: I was the only woman with a group of high-level staff from the attorney general’s office in Virginia, and we were walking to a lunch meeting when suddenly my high heel got caught in a sidewalk grate. I was stuck there as the group proceeded on down the sidewalk. They had to come back and rescue me.
