Santa Ana-based Crave Entertainment is working with Discovery Communications on a new moneymaking move. The firm, which is a subsidiary of New York-based FillpointSVG, will develop and produce two new video games based on Discovery Channel's two highest-rated shows, "Man vs. Wild" and "Deadliest Catch." The products will be released for all current video game platforms beginning in spring 2010.

The games will allow players to experience the extremes of earth’s environments and explore strategies necessary for survival. Both titles thrust the viewer into harrowing locations where they must battle for survival against the harshest elements.

In "Man vs. Wild," players must guide their characters through some of the world’s toughest jungles, aided by advice and guidance from the show’s host, survival expert Bear Grylls. Different strategies are necessary for survival in different environments and locations, and players must decide

In "Deadliest Catch," players take on the role of captain of a fishing boat in search of Alaskan king crabs and Opilio snow crabs in the heart of the Bering Sea. Extreme conditions and dangerous weather combine to make for a perilous work environment, and players are called upon to balance the dangers facing them and their crew with potential profits.
