![]() Santa Claus will flip a giant light switch to mark the start of the holiday season. The public is invited to participate in the free event, which will include tons of snow with slides for children, live music and caroling. The restaurant will offer seafood chowder and hot chocolate for a nominal price. New this year is the Dunes’ own Christmas tree lot, where families may choose from Douglas or fir trees ranging from 3 feet to 15 feet in height. “We look forward to hosting our annual Lighting of the Bay, which has become a cherished family event,” says Andrew Theodorou, vice president and general manager of the 100-acre re-sort. “We hope they find our Christmas tree lot a welcome convenience.” As part of Back Bay Bistro’s holiday celebration, the restaurant has been conducting a SPIN toy drive throughout November and will continue until Dec. 18. Any customer who donates an unwrapped children’s toy valued at $5 or more will receive free dessert. Gifts should be geared for children 12 and under and will be distributed to Serving People In Need (SPIN), an organization dedicated to aiding and rehabilitating homeless people in Orange County. backbaybistronewportbeach.com NEXT PAGE >>> |
