![]() The new alternative to the classic burger joint is known for its many options. Customers can choose from more than 300,000 possible combinations to create their own special burger. Guests can turn loose their culinary imagination and combine beef, chicken, turkey or veggie burgers with 12 different cheeses, 33 toppings, 21 sauces and four types of buns. Upon arrival, diners are given a clipboard to help them create their custom burger. Or they can choose from signature burgers, burgers in a bowl, sandwiches or starters. The newest Orange County location (the other one’s in Irvine) also features a full bar, with an array of handcrafted beer and wine. The restaurant chain was started in 2003 by Jeff Weinstein as an unconventional approach to the traditional American burger joint. Today the chain is recognized for serving the best burgers around, in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. • ALSO ON THE MENU: Sol expands its menu Sol Cocina in Newport Beach has added several new and interesting menu items that offer eccentric twists on traditional Baja cuisine, like the Shrimp & Jalapeño Molcajette and the Crispy Chipotle Chicken Taco. And for margarita lovers: Guests will now have the option of choosing grande-size SOL signature cocktails. Bluewater Grill joins the Ducks Bluewater Grill will open its fifth location, at the Honda Center in Anaheim next month – just in time for the Ducks’ season opener. It marks the launch of upgraded dining and food offerings at Honda Center. Bluewater Grill operates restaurants in Newport Beach, Tustin, Redondo Beach and Phoenix. Dates set for Orange County Restaurant Week A roster of Orange County’s top restaurants are on queue to participate in Restaurant Week, set for Sept. 26-Oct. 2. Among the participants: The Winery, 118 Degrees, Seasons 52 and Brasserie Pascal.
