![]() The festival, scheduled to run Oct. 13-17, will include feature-length films, documentaries and shorts from around the globe. The films will be screened at Anaheim’s new UltraStar Cinemas at the GardenWalk, but the Saturday night red carpet awards gala called for a bigger venue. “Filmmaking has always been at the heart of our company, since ‘Snow White’ premiered in 1937,” said Disneyland Resort President George A. Kalogridis. “It is befitting that Disneyland Resort host this celebration of filmmaking and support the inaugural Anaheim International Film Festival.” The evening will include a dinner and an awards presentation ceremony for the festival’s winning films, as well as lifetime and career achievement awards for film industry veterans. It will close with a VIP showing of Disney’s new California Adventure nighttime water spectacular, “World of Color.” “We are very fortunate to have Disneyland Resort as a founding sponsor in creating a meaningful cultural event for Anaheim and Orange County,” said Sinan Kanatsiz, chairman of the Anaheim International Film Festival. “Disneyland is a world ambassador, and AIFF has a similar role in the world of filmmaking, with numerous countries represented at our festival. It has been an ideal partnership in every way, and we look forward to an unforgettable evening hosted by the magic makers of Disney.” To purchase tickets and for more information, visit anaheimfilm.org.
