Orange County business professionals and local students will be among those in attendance at Vanguard University's Environmental Sustainability Conference on Jan. 29.

The event, which is hosted by the institution's Students in Free Enterprise, will focus on sustainability through green innovation and creativity, and it will discuss environmental efforts among businesses and individuals.

The day's keynote speaker will be Martin Diedrich, founder of Kéan Coffee, which has locations in Newport Beach and Tustin. Diedrich will talk about applying green principles and ideas in business plans and day-to-day living.

“(Diedrich) is an astonishing, well-known businessman who has had much success thus far in his career," says Shannon Johnson, vice president of administration for the SIFE chapter. "Not only is he known for his delectable coffee, but for his vision of creating a cutting-edge eco-friendly community meeting place."
