Christopher P. Wesierski

Christopher P. Wesierski is a founding partner of Wesierski & Zurek LLP, a civil litigation defense firm renowned for its remarkable success rate. The firm tries an average of 25 to 30 trials per year and boasts a 95 percent success rate at trial. The firm’s attorneys are known for their tenacity and thoroughness, extensive litigation experience, and expertise in almost any type of litigation. Wesierski & Zurek was recently selected as one of the top “Go To” law firms in the country for litigation by The American Lawyer Magazine.
Mr. Wesierski graduated cum laude from California State University at Long Beach and from the University of San Diego’s School of Law in 1978. A former managing senior partner at the Orange County office of a large defense firm, he founded Wesierski & Zurek in 1987. Mr. Wesierski has received the highest AV rating by Martindale-Hubble, which indicates that his peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence.
He has also been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer every year since 2004, an honor awarded to just 3 percent of licensed attorneys. Active in the community, Mr. Wesierski sits on the executive boards of the Robert Banyard Inn of Court, the Orange County Bar Foundation and the Orange County American Board of Trial Advocates.
He has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict in state and federal courts in wide ranging areas of law.
The firm’s clients have included numerous Fortune 500 companies, major insurance carriers and the UC Regents. Wesierski and Zurek also maintain a beloved tradition: inviting clients to celebrate court victories with a champagne toast and ringing of an old-fashioned ship bell.
This year, he was selected to again serve as defense coordinator for the Masters in Cross Examination program at Chapman Law School. When he speaks to younger attorneys about what inspires him, he says it is his passion for his work and the exceptional people he meets along the way.
“I love the fact that my work is varied, and I also love going to trial, getting up in front of 12 jurors and introducing them to the side that I think is right. It’s a real privilege,” he says. “If I had to start over, I would absolutely choose this path again.”
