![]() There’s more to attorney Mark Peacock than just his ability to turn tragedies into triumphs these last 20 years. Peacock, a successful Newport Beach attorney, has come full spectrum in his career by representing fire, law enforcement and corrections professionals in the areas of civil rights, personal injury and other civil matters. And, for the past few years, the married father of a 7-year-old has enthusiastically combined his love for music (he’s a talented musician who favors a Gibson Les Paul guitar) and his love of the law. On Aug. 15, Peacock is hosting his annual Safetyheroes.org event during a Ted Nugent concert at the Anaheim House of Blues to honor safety personnel and their families. Traditionally, friends and attendees pitch in to raise money for charity. “Honoring our safety heroes is a no-brainer,” Peacock said. “They make our lives safer and better – it’s that simple. We all need to let these brave men and women know we appreciate what they do. Ted Nugent gets that. When Ted comes blazing through town, it’s a beautiful and true celebration of rock ’n’ roll mayhem. Our safety heroes deserve it. Plus, it’s just fun.” Five years ago, Peacock represented and recovered settlements for six children of a Chino corrections officer who was fatally stabbed by an inmate. The experience was so “unbelievable” to him, it lead to the creation of his Safetyheroes.org site, where viewers can find articles honoring Orange County’s safety personnel and thanking them for making Orange County a safe place to live, work and play. Check it out. Peacock is currently representing the mother of a USP Atwater correctional officer who was murdered by two intoxicated inmates. “Have passion for what you do—and do it well.” THE FEATURED LAWYERS:
