Serge Tomassian

Tomassian, Throckmorton & Inouye LLP

When managing partner Serge Tomassian immigrated to the U.S. from France as a small boy, his family brought with them one of the most important gifts they could have given themselves besides a new homeland: An intrinsic concept in how to attain success.

Today, Serge Tomassian is managing partner and chief trial counsel of Tomassian, Throckmorton & Inouye LLP – an Irvine-based, 17-year-old boutique law firm specializing in real estate litigation; construction claims and defects; soils movement; environmental, entertainment and business law; and arbitration/mediation.

Tomassian also is a recipient of the Martindale-Hubbel’s AV Peer Review Rating, which is emblematic of one of the profession’s highest levels of excellence.

“I approach my cases with a strong work ethic and conscientious belief in working hard for my clients,” said Tomassian, who credits his parents for giving him and his brother the chance to go to law school. “I’m proud to say we can offer our clients the skill, quality and track record of a large firm, plus the personal attention and cost-effective service that a smaller boutique firm can provide.”

Even in regions outside of Orange County, issues with residential and commercial real estate purchases, sales, construction quality or property discrepancies are inevitable.

One of the firm’s formidable recent successes includes winning a significant, hard-fought four-month trial involving the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster.

“The court came back with a verdict that awarded us all retention monies withheld by the general contractor, plus it issued a 54-page statement of decision awarding our client prompt payment penalties against the general contractor, plus attorneys fees and costs totaling in the seven figures,” Tomassian said. “The counter claim of the opposing general contractor of a half-million dollars was essentially denied.”

Tomassian believes the integrity, perseverance, experience and overall professional excellence of the TT&I team accomplished this case victory.
