![]() While this blind date may have potential, you may not find what you’re looking for in this individual. Or the next. That’s where Time For Nine comes in. The exclusive golf dating service listens to its clients, assesses their preferred physical and non-physical traits, and then gets to work. Wendi Forrest started Time For Nine two years ago after discovering that she had a knack for matchmaking. She’s the lead consultant among a team of four, and she has witnessed firsthand the key to success. “I think the secret is to understand what makes people truly compatible and to be able to get to know each client and what they are really looking for in a match,” says Forrest. “It’s the ability to read between the lines in a way.” Clients are men and women, ranging from their 20s to their 70s. Some have children, while others have never been married. Most are professionals, and all love to play golf. They live or work, or both, in Orange or Los Angeles County. And all of them are interested in finding someone to share their life with — who also enjoys the game of golf.Forrest and her team carefully screen each applicant through a compatability questionnaire and one-on-one interview. Then they tap into their database of 350-plus clients and let the dating begin. Time For Nine sets up the initial meeting, usually a date at the driving range or a nine-hole round, and if the clients hit it off, they can arrange a second date themselves or through Forrest and her team. If there’s no spark, consultants are back to work. “After each meeting, I find out if there was anything in particular that we should be aware of with future matches and then we arrange the next match up, making changes to the client’s profile as necessary, ” Forrest says. “It sounds simple, but it is amazing how a little detail can affect a connection between two people.” For more information about Time For Nine, visit www.timefornine.com. |
