Irvine-based FlexEnergy has inked a deal to acquire Ingersoll Rand’s Energy Systems division. The deal will bolster the Orange County-based company’s efforts to provide low-emission power generation.
FlexEnergy is a clean-technology business. Its Flex Powerstation effectively generates clean energy from methane gas.
Energy Systems manufactures environmentally friendly microturbines, microturbine systems and recuperators.
“With the acquisition of a leader in microturbine technology, FlexEnergy will be able to provide a family of products from microturbines and recuperators to the complete Flex Powerstation,” said FlexEnergy CEO Joseph Perry. “The integration of our revolutionary Flex Powerstation with Ingersoll Rand Energy Systems’ technology will provide customer solutions that utilize the broadest range of fuel sources while generating the industry’s lowest emissions.”
