Hoag Hospital Foundation to present Forum on Healthcare 2011
Leaders in the medical and business communities will meet to discuss the impact of healthcare changes on regional business.

Hoag Memorial Hospital PresbyterianExecutives from Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, The Paul Merage School of Business at UCI and Edwards Lifesciences Corp. will discuss the impact of changes in healthcare on regional business, at the Forum on Healthcare 2011, which will take place this Wednesday at the Hyatt Regency Irvine.
Presented by the Hoag Hospital Foundation, the philanthropic division of Hoag Memorial, the forum will focus on how businesses can successfully navigate new healthcare reforms. Some topics will include how employers and employees are responding to the rapid changes in healthcare, how healthcare providers are adjusting to the changes, what it means for healthcare to become more retail- and consumer-focused, and whether the changes can inspire innovation and new opportunities in the private sector.
The forum will open with remarks by Michael A. Mussallem, CEO and chairman of the board of Edwards Lifescienes Corp., about how changes in healthcare has been affecting Orange County businesses. Andrew J. Policano, the dean of The Paul Merage School of Business at UCI, and Dr. Richard Afable, president and CEO of Hoag, will make presentations.
