Hyundai has already made its first trade-in, with Virginia resident Katherine Michon, who exchanged her 15 mile-per-gallon 1995 Ford Explorer for a 26 mile-per-gallon Elantra Touring.
Hyundai buyers will receive the full rebate allocated under the program when an eligible trade-in is exchanged for one of 13 of the automakers models and engine combinations that qualify for the program. Passenger cars must get 22 miles per gallon or more combined fuel economy, and light trucks must get at least 18. Among the models up for the program: the Accent, Elantra, Entourage and Tucson 2.0L.
Hyundai is offering the incentive in conjunction with its existing specials and financing options, including the Gas Lock initiative, which offers a year's worth of gas for $1.49. << PREVIOUS PAGE
