Alpine Biomed opens plant in Vietnam, continued ...
The center will export diagnostic devices to customers worldwide and will employ 100 people.
The Vietnam facility is a part of Alpine's plan to expand its products and capabilities. The company acquired Stellate Systems Inc. in January to increase its neurodiagnostics business, as well as boost its presence in the sleep diagnostics market. Alpine also teamed with Water Street Healthcare Partners in 2007, a private equity firm focused exclusively on the health care industry. Since then, the company has experienced record sales and revenue growth, and is projected to increase sales by as much as 25 percent this year.
Alpine Biomed provides specialty diagnostic devices for the gastroenterology and neurology clinical markets. The company has manufacturing facilities in Canada and Denmark, in addition to its new Vietnam plant.
