Fujitsu moves manufacturing to New York
The Foothill Ranch-based IT company plans to consolidate its North American production operations.

Foothill Ranch-based Fujitsu Frontech North American Inc. plans to move its point of sale – or POS – manufacturing responsibilities to its Plattsburgh, N.Y., facility.
Fujitsu will maintain its sales, service, operations and product development headquarters in Orange County.
The move represents a strategic decision to consolidate supply chain management operations and implement a global supply-chain network.
The Plattsburgh facility has been providing self-checkout and self-service systems to North American retailers for almost a decade.
“I see the tremendous potential for Fujitsu to expand its business operations in the state of New York,” said Dick Zarski, senior vice president of manufacturing, supply chain and logistics.
Fujitsu Frontech North America is an IT company specializing in retail solutions, cloud infrastructure, digital media, biometric solutions and currency handling product solutions.
