The American Heart Association’s Orange County Chapter is gearing up for its Go Red For Women Luncheon, scheduled for March 11, at the Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
As many as 300 women attend this annual event, which aims to educate women on the importance of heart health and ways to prevent cardiovascular disease, which is the No. 1 killer of women.
This year’s event features free health screenings and an informational session focused on encouraging, empowering and educating women about heart disease. A “Purseonality” silent auction will offer up purses of all shapes, sizes and colors reflecting the many unique personalities of women and their hearts.
The funds raised from the luncheon will go toward research and education programs.
