Golden Foodie Awards Dine-Out begins voting this week
The 4-week voting period for the best restaurants of Orange County opens Sunday.

The first Golden Foodie Awards kicks off Sunday with its Golden Dine Out four-week event that asks diners to find their favorite Orange County restaurants in 20 different categories.
This is the first award to honor the local restaurant industry and aims to support local chefs and restaurants by the community to venture to new culinary hotspots.
Voting will be held on the Golden Foodie Awards website, GoldenFoodieAwards.com, and participation is free. Categories include Best Of several international cuisines, Best Beer Menu, Best Mixologist and Excellent Service. The winners of each category will be honored at the Sept. 30 Golden Foodie Awards red carpet event at the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach.
The event will feature culinary stations from 15 different local restaurants before the awards show, desserts and wine during and a coffee and cocktail bar after. A limited number of tickets are available at the Golden Foodie Awards website for $150 and will increase to $250 Aug. 11.
Sponsors for the event include Patron Tequila, Kean Coffee, Casey’s Cupcakes, SoCal PBS, Orange Coast Magazine, Edible Orange County and OC Metro.
