The Golden Foodie Awards forms delicious partnership

The local dining industry awards partners with Casey’s Cupcakes

To mark the first-ever Golden Foodie Awards, local cupcake maven Casey Reinhardt and her firm, Casey’s Cupcakes, have created a signature treat to match the glamour of the occasion.

The “Golden Velvet” cupcake is described as a “unique and elegant twist” on the typical red velvet cupcake, and will be available this summer only. The confection, a red velvet cake, is topped with gold-tinted frosting and accented with 24-carat gold dust, gold candy curls and gold-colored sugar pearls.

The tasty treat will be featured during a special Golden Foodie Wine and Cheese Social at the District at Tustin Legacy this weekend. Reinhardt said she was delighted to be involved with the Awards.

"It is such a great honor that The OC Restaurant Association and Golden Foodie Awards selected Casey's Cupcakes to be the official cupcake provider of the Goldie Foodie Awards season. We are so excited to debut our glamorous and delicious Golden Velvet Cupcake for this special occasion," Reinhardt said.

The “glamorous” limited-edition treat is now available at Casey’s Cupcakes locations in Irvine, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach and Riverside. The cupcakes are $4.50 each or $24.00 for a box of six, using the special discount code “24-Carat” at time of purchase.
