Continuing in its efforts to assist local low-income families while helping the environment, Habit for Humanity Orange County will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 18, with a special sale at Habitat ReStore, the organization’s home improvement center that sells donated home-related goods at discounted prices.

The Earth-friendly efforts of the organization will not at Earth Day, however. Habitat DeConstruct, the nonprofit’s ongoing program that promotes the use of reusable home-building materials and home-related appliances, will be expanded to serve a growing number of homeowners interested in helping the environment while saving money. Proceeds are used to construct affordable Energy Star-qualified homes.
