The homes surpassed California's energy-efficiency standard by 15 percent. “We are proud to provide energy-efficient homes for Habitat O.C. families who will save money for their homes and lives,” says Habitat's Senior Vice President Mark Korando. Habitat for Humanity of Orange County is a nonprofit dedicated to ending substandard housing and building strong communities in the region. The Santa Ana-based organization has built 130 homes in Orange County since 1988.
