The Hilton Anaheim, situated near the Anaheim Convention Center and Disneyland Resort, recently finished its $60 million, 18-month-long renovation. The 1,572-room hotel's new features include redesigned guest rooms, meeting space, lobby, restaurant and health club. The Hilton Anaheim was purchased by Newport Beach-based Makar Properties LLC – which also owns the St. Regis Resort, Monarch Beach – in 2007, and since then, the company has invested more than $60 million in the property to give it a whole new look and feel, with state-of-the-art technology and modernized facilities. "For Makar, the Hilton Anaheim project has been not only about renovating this landmark property but also investing in the future of Anaheim as a key destination in the region,” says Makar Properties' President and CEO Paul Makarechian. “Building on the hotel’s existing strengths, we have convened the creative resources of skilled designers and craftsmen to create a modern and sophisticated hotel that will continue to serve the community for many years. The hotel's lobby, designed by San Francisco-based Puccini Group, offers guests an escape from the surrounding environment with dark, earthy tones. Mix Lounge, found in the central lobby, is a new addition to the Hilton Anaheim. It features a large backlit onyx bar surrounded by seating areas. Right next to the lounge is Mix Restaurant, with a new menu offering a Kobe-style burger and Thai-inspired Pan-friend Rockfish, among other dishes. The Hilton Anaheim's guest rooms have been revamped with a 32-inch or larger LCD TV in each room, an adjustable work desk with an ergonomic chair and dark, ebony wood tones. The hotel has 93 suites, with 45 new studios for business travelers, including four presidential suites. Finally, the Health Club – a 25,000-square-foot, full-service facility, offers new cardio equipment with individual entertainment systems and weight training machines or free weights, as well as group classes. The Hilton Anaheim is located at 777 Convention Way in Anaheim.
