HireRight earns TechAmerica award for innovation

Employment screening firm is honored for personalized candidate portal

HireRight, an employment screening services company, has been honored by the TechAmerica High-Tech Innovation Awards. The Irvine-based firm was recognized in the Internet/E-Commerce product category for its personalized candidate portal, Applicant Center Mobile.

The 19th annual premier business event celebrates excellence and achievement in the region’s technology industry by honoring local companies, individuals and products that currently drive innovation in Southern California.

HireRight says that its Applicant Center Mobile is the industry’s only secure and personalized candidate portal to date. The portal aids candidates in the pre-employment screening process by managing their background check in real-time, supplying information, viewing the status of the check, and accessing live help through any mobile device.

HireRight Applicant Center Mobile is easily accessible through a smart phone or tablet providing candidates with an intuitive screening experience. Applicants are able to access and manage the background check process with ease while the portal simplifies data entry for applicants and employers.

The employment screening technology automatically sends candidates updates via text message or email when information is obtained allowing them to quickly upload, email, or fax requested data. The portal displays results as each step of the background check is completed, assuring applicants that their background checks are progressing successfully.

Alongside the awards given, TechAmerica also recognized educators and students for their innovative use of science, math and technology in the classroom and in the community. Recognition of such involvement is correlated with Project Tomorrow, the nation’s leading education nonprofit group educating students on how to be successful innovators.
