Irvine-based HireRight has acquired National Diagnostics Inc. for an undisclosed amount. The move is expected to expand and strengthen HireRight's drug- and health-screening abilities.

NDI, a full-service provider of drug testing and physical exams, manages a large collection network at more than 18,000 medical centers throughout North America. Among its services: testing and compliance solutions for the Department of Transportation.

"NDI's deep expertise, full-service offering and technology-driven approach mesh well with HireRight's commitment to innovation, quality and customer satisfaction," says HireRight President and CEO Mike Petrullo.

He believes the acquisition will lead to increased value and choice for the firm's expanding customer base. It will also provide faster results and improved experiences.
