Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach has been named the most preferred hospital by Orange County residents based on a consumer study by National Research Corporation (NRC). This is the 14th consecutive year Hoag has topped the list. The award is given to hospitals that health care consumers in each region have selected as having the highest quality care and image in more than 300 markets nationwide.

"We are honored to receive this valued endorsement from the community," says Richard Afable, M.D., Hoag Hospital president and CEO. "Hoag Hospital is committed to serving Orange County by providing the highest quality care to our patients, which is a testament to the patient-centered care and dedication of the physicians, nurses and comprehensive health care team."

NRC Consumer Choice Award winners are determined by consumer responses on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company's Healthcare Market Guide Ticker study.
