![]() Passports and credit cards contain data that can be skimmed – even from a distance – by using a wireless scanner, leaving you vulnerable to identify theft. Kena Kai’s products feature a new technology called DataSafe, which utilizes layers of radio-frequency-shielding material to protect the information stored on your credit cards, driver’s license and other key documents. Kena Kai’s multicolored collection of wallets, ID badge holders and computer and passport sleeves are eco-friendly and approved by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration. The company’s credit card holder is made of recycled plastic bottles and other containers. The synthetic felt-type fabric has the look and feel of felt but is lighter and more rugged. “Every year we make enough plastic to shrink-wrap Texas; most of it ends up in landfills if we don’t recycle and develop new safety technologies,” says Kena Kai Founder Nelleke Masterson. The collection retails from $50 to $200. kenakai.com |
