One such gathering, Revenue Management for 2010, organized by the Orange County chapter of Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), will feature a panel of industry experts who will discuss strategies to maximize brand awareness and revenue for companies in this business sector. The event will take place tomorrow from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Fairmont Newport Beach. Topics to be discussed will include: the use of social media to create brand awareness, the effectiveness – or lack of – discounting hotel rates, the future role of online travel agents and the impact of online promotions, among others.
