Human Options will hold its annual fall fundraising luncheon, highlighted this year by speaker Victor Rivas Rivers, tomorrow at the Balboa Bay Club.
Victor Rivas Rivers
An actor and the author of “A Private Family Matter,” Rivas Rivers is the spokesperson for the National Network to End Domestic Violence. The theme of this year’s luncheon is Domestic Violence is Everyone’s Issue.
All proceeds from the luncheon will go to support Human Options, which for more than 30 years has helped battered women, their families and the community break the cycle of domestic violence.
Rivas Rivers, who grew up in an abusive home, seeks to raise awareness of what he considers to be our greatest, and yet the most curable, disease. He will share his message of survival and hope at the luncheon.
Registration for the event will begin at 11 a.m., and the program will start promptly at noon. Individual tickets are $150, and underwriting opportunities are available. For tickets and more information, contact MaryKate Gerevas at 949.737.5242, ext. 318.
