The University of California, Irvine Global Innovation Group (IGIG) partnered with the Israel Conference for its annual Los Angeles business conference that showcases Israeli businesses May 31.
The IGIG is open to undergraduate and graduate students and is focused on strengthening a UCI – Israel professional relationship through research within the engineering, computer sciences and health sciences schools.
“Our involvement in this conference and positive response from both Israeli and American firms, has inspired our resolve to establish concrete collaborative relationships for the production of world changing innovation,” said IGIG CEO Frank Williams.
Students from IGIG were able to attend lectures and participate in networking activities during the two-day conference, which included 75 speakers from Israeli companies. UCI administrator attendees included Special Assistant to the Provost for International Affairs Lawrence Gold, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Research and Development Jacob Levin and Executive Director of the CEO Roundtable Goran Matijasevic.
