New Iconosys app provides help for holiday shoppers

The local smartphone-applications company introduces Black Flyday, which connects bargain shoppers with local deals.

Iconosys Inc., a Laguna Niguel-based provider of mobile-device applications, recently released Black Flyday 2.0. Black Flyday is a Facebook-integrated app for Android smartphones and tablets that takes advantage of the availability of coupons and promotional offers by companies of all sizes on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It provides the location of Black Friday deals in real time within a certain radius.

The app connects users to Facebook friends and deal-hunting team members while supplying a comprehensive global-view setting of the shopping deals within a local perimeter.

“In this stumbling economy, the idea of deal hunting has been reborn in daily-deal offering from innovative companies like Groupon, Monster Offers and others,” said Wayne Irving II, the creator of Black Flyday and Iconosys founder and CEO. “The efforts to make each and every dollar go farther have never seen or generated this much buzz and attention from consumers. … Our new and improved app puts you, the shopper, in charge, by enabling you and your network to find the best deals, post them and then take advantage of them, all in real time.”

Black Flyday will be free through Nov. 25 (Black Friday) and can be purchased for $4.99 afterward for a lifetime license.
