Ingram Micro's house brand launches line of privacy filters

Newest V7 products protect on-screen corporate, personal data.

Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro's house brand, V7, is launching a line of privacy filters for protecting corporate and personal computer data.

The V7 filters preserve on-screen information by darkening when viewed from the side. Data can only be seen from the front of the monitor without blurring or distortion.

The filters can be placed directly on a laptop's or desktop's screen and can be removed and attached quickly.

“With data protection a top priority for most professionals these days, V7’s privacy filters are a low-cost, simple solution that can bring peace of mind to end-users and corporate security officers alike,” said Rainer Kozlik, vice president and general manager of Ingram Micro’s Global V7 Private Label Group.

The products also feature a glossy finish that brightens contrast and protects LCD screens from damage.

The V7 filters come in six screen sizes, and prices start at $30.

Ingram Micro is an international distributor of computer products. Its house brand, V7, offers supplies such as keyboards, carrying cases, LCD monitors and other accessories.
