The National Association of Home Builders honored Irvine Pacific Homes with the Best in American Living Award, at the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Florida, the O.C.-based company announced on Friday.

Two of the neighborhoods, Siena and Toscana, in Irvine Pacific’s Village of Laguna Altura, earned the award for outstanding achievement in homebuilding and design.

“It is a great honor and very exciting to be recognized for excellence in homebuilding and design by our peers in the NAHB,” said Tom Veal, Irvine Pacific vice president of residential sales and marketing. “This award is a tangible reflection of something Irvine Pacific homeowners have known all along: At Irvine Pacific, our homes are more than just a home – they are a reflection of the unique lifestyle found in one of the world’s finest master-planned communities ...”

The Laguna Altura neighborhoods feature single-family homes with indoor-outdoor spaces built for entertainment purposes, including kitchens and rooms suitable for large gatherings.

NAHB judges applauded the Siena community for its “spacious and inviting use of an open plan … and its creative storage solutions [that] increase overall plan efficiency and maximize functionality.”

Toscana was honored for its “formal Italian design with particularly pretty interiors [that are] complemented with a nod to casual living by creating a great outdoor living space. … also, the multigenerational floorplan, which allows for a completely separate in-law suite.”

“These prestigious, national ‘Best in American Living Awards’ are a true testimony to the tremendous amount of time, research and resources that Irvine Pacific devotes to creating a home that meets the needs, hopes and desires of today’s families,” said David M. Kosco, senior principal at Bassenian and Lagoni Architects. “Irvine Pacific has created a unique homebuying experience that is very interactive and includes research-driven, innovative home designs, intelligent energy efficiency and, at the Village of Laguna Altura, a luxurious gated community that is destined to become one of Orange County’s most prestigious addresses.”
