Irvine Co. announces 2010 new home series, continued ...

The California Room:
The Great Room also connects to this space, which is open on three sides with a roof. The area is designed to offer privacy in an outdoor setting. It can be used as an outside kitchen, or for dining and entertainment.

“Our weather in Southern California is fantastic, and one of the things we really focused on with these floor plans was creating a strong relationship between the inside and outside living spaces,” says Rob Elliott, group senior vice president for Urban Planning and Design.

The homes in the collection will also be developed according to Build It Green standards, and they will surpass California's building and energy code requirements.

Builders for the project are Brookfield Homes, KB Home, Lennar, The New Home Co., TRI Pointe Homes and Van Daele Homes.

This new collection is among a number of recent efforts from the Irvine Co. to boost interest in new homebuyers: The firm's Ivy in Woodbury East debuted in July. Homes were purchased within the first 15 minutes of the first phase's opening.

“We are very excited about The 2010 New Home Collection, because it will create new opportunities for people from all stages of life to enjoy the experience of owning a home in Irvine and the wonderful lifestyle that comes with it,” finishes Young.
