Irvine's DRI Energy powers Target stores in Hawaii

The company is providing solar installation on the retail chain's first two stores in the state.

Irvine-based DRI Energy, a subsidiary of DRI Cos. that provides solar installation services to commercial building owners and residential homebuilders, recently equipped Target's first two branches in Hawaii with its solar systems.

The locations – one in Honolulu West and the other in Kapolei – now have the company's 143kW DC systems in place. What's more, the program is fully integrated with single-ply roofing installed by DRI Commercial, the commercial roofing arm of DRI Cos.

The move is expected to help the retail chain reduce its usage and increase its energy efficiency.
