Irvine's Toyota Material Handling seeds forests

Company will plant 57,000 trees through Arbor Day Foundation partnership.

Through its support of the Arbor Day Foundation, Irvine-based Toyota Material Handling U.S.A Inc. is embarking on its plan to plant 57,000 trees in national forests and local parks damaged by fire or other natural causes by the end of this year.

It's all a part of the company's environmental commitment to donate one tree for every Toyota lift truck sold last year, as well as one tree for every Toyota 8-Series lift truck sold in 2007. Toyota is also holding planting events with different dealers and associates.

“Putting an emphasis on the environment always has been an integral part of our corporate philosophy," says company President Brett Wood, "and planting trees with the help of our customers, dealers and associates is a rewarding way to make a positive impact on our future.”
