"It's hard to say what the holidays will bring," says Wedge, "but we usually experience a busy holiday season and know that people will continue to travel to see their loved ones at this time of year."
Nationally, the Air Transport Association of America projects a 4 percent drop in the number of passengers traveling on U.S. airlines during the Thanksgiving holiday compared to last year. The organization cites the economic downturn, as well as the spike in U.S. unemployment for the expected drop.
Wedge says individuals who are planning to fly during the Thanksgiving or December holidays should plan ahead for parking. She suggests arriving at the airport one and one-half to two hours early to allow proper time for security screenings and check in. << PREVIOUS PAGE
