KTGY, the Irvine-based designer of the project, helped implement a number of sustainable features into the property, including Energy Star appliance, low-flow restrictors on bathroom and kitchen faucets, and bamboo flooring in the community center. Granite Court also exceeds Title 24 energy efficiency standards by more than 15 percent, which helps to lower energy consumption.
“Sustainable design and close proximity to jobs, services and education further increase affordability for residents who have few affordable housing options, especially for larger families,” says KTGY’s David Obitz, principal and designer.
Granite Court is also located near public transit centers, neighborhood parks and shopping centers, medical services, churches and schools. This mixed-use environment is said to lessen pollution from autos and minimize commuting, thereby saving residents much-needed funds.
Granite Court is among a number of recent projects developed by Jamboree Housing Corp. and KTGY, including the Diamond Apartment Homes in Anaheim and Monarch Pointe Apartment Homes, also in Anaheim. << PREVIOUS PAGE
