![]() The local architecture and planning firm has completed housing projects for UC Irvine, the University of La Verne and Santa Clara University in the past. The University of Wyoming student housing project focused on environmentally sustainable features such as recycled structural and building materials and an emphasis on convenient bicycle access for residents. "High-efficiency room and water heating, use of recycled materials, low VOC paints and materials as well as covered bicycle storage are just a few examples of sustainable approaches KTGY used to further the design,” said KTGY's Dan McAllister, who said the new community meets LEED Silver qualifications. “Low-flow fixtures and reduced water consumption in landscape areas will go a long way toward saving ever diminishing clean water supplies."
