The new contract also includes the retrofitting of in-flight
entertainment (IFE) systems on 106 Boeing 757-200 aircraft to be
completed by November 2015 and five Boeing 767-200 aircraft to be
completed by July 2009.
The new agreement also includes
retrofitting of 18 Boeing 757-200 international aircraft with Panasonic
IFE systems for In-Seat Audio and Video-on-Demand in First Class and
Digital Overhead Audio/Video capability in Economy Class. These
aircraft retrofits are already in progress and will be completed by
December 2009, with the first two aircraft already in service.
American
Airlines, American Eagle and the AmericanConnection airlines serve 250
cities in 40 countries with, on average, more than 3,400 daily flights.
The combined network fleet numbers more than 900 aircraft.
