MerchSource launches new Literati color e-reader

The Foothill Ranch-based company is touting it as an affordable option to other similar products.

Foothill Ranch-based MerchSource has launched a new Literati color e-reader that comes loaded with 25 classic stories and features a 7-inch color screen and Wi-Fi connectivity.

“The majority of e-readers available today are either too expensive with too many features, or the manufacturer has slashed key functionality and overall device quality to lower the price,” said Kirk McLean, CEO of MerchSource.

The Literati will be distributed under a trademark license with Sharper Image and will be available next month in retail stores nationwide, including Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, JC Penney, Kohl’s and Macy’s. It’s priced at $159 – or less with rebates and special promotions.
