Michael Jordan appointed president of The Beachcomber, continued ...
But that's not all: Jordan, who earned the nickname Sommelier for the People, holds a Master Sommelier Diploma with the International Court of Master Sommeliers and a Certified Wine Educator Diploma from the Society of Wine Educators. He is among 15 individuals across the globe to have both diplomas.
“We are pleased to welcome a Master Sommelier to the Malibu Coast,” says Doug Cavanaugh, chairman and CEO of The Beachcomber. “His extraordinary expertise in the food and beverage industry and his passion for Southern California makes Michael a great asset for our company."
In his new role, Jordan will oversee both locations. He also will offer wine courses for The Beachcomber's staff, including a two-day exam conducted by the Court of Master Sommeliers, and he will further develop the restaurant's wine and beverage program.
