Mission Hospital names new chief of staff
Dr. Christopher Nolan will oversee medical policies and procedures at Mission Viejo, Laguna Beach campuses.

Dr. Christopher Nolan, a physician with Mission Hospital for more than 20 years, has been elected by the medical staff to serve as chief of staff through the end of the year.
Nolan will direct policies and procedures generated by the Medical Executive Committee and will be responsible for self-governance of the staff at both the Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach campuses.
“Dr. Nolan has been with Mission Hospital for more than two decades, and during this time, he has held a number of leadership positions,” says Mission Hospital COO Markie Cowley.
As Chief of Staff, Nolan and the committee will oversee the quality of medical care provided in the hospital.
“I have had the good fortune of seeing Mission Hospital grow from a small community hospital to a major medical center,” says Nolan. “I take pride in knowing that as chief of staff, I can continue to make a difference – always seeking ways to change good to better and better to best.”
