Mission Viejo nets $285,100 in federal funds for city pathway

Grant supports signage on the Oso Creek Trail.

The city of Mission Viejo recently garnered $285,100 in federal funding for a comprehensive sign program along the Oso Creek Trail.

The grants will help put into place kiosks at four trailheads: Marguerite Parkway, Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, Thomas R. Potocki Conference Center and Pavio Park. The kiosks will provide trail maps and information about the surrounding environment.

The pathway has seen an increase in users each year, and the signage is expected to help bicyclists and walkers better navigate their way.
