![]() The pilot program allows Orange County employers to send a group of about five to seven female staffers to one of the health care institution's two campuses in Mission Viejo or Laguna Beach for mammograms, breast health discussions and lunch. Workers will be transported between their office and the hospital. The entire process is expected to take no more than an hour and a half. Irvine-based Kawasaki Motors will be the first company to take part in the program, but Mission Hospital officials say there are about three groups signed up each week until the end of February. Firms are selected through a number of factors, including their location within Mission Hospital's service area, and their previous work to partner with the center to provide health programs such as flu clinics and screenings to their employees. If the program meets with success, the hospital may extend it indefinitely.
