Mitsubishi Electric Corp.will introduce a new subsidiary – Mitsubishi Electric Visual Solutions America – on June 1. The new company, which will  be located in Irvine, will offer a line of home-theater systems and related products, including:

• 3D and 2D home-theater front projectors
• Data wall display systems
• LCD digital signage monitors
• Large-screen 3-D DLP® Home Cinema televisions
• Large-screen 3-D LaserVue® televisions

Mitsubishi Electric will no longer manufacture and market TVs that are 65 inches and smaller, as well as related products, in North America.

“The demand for information display equipment continues to grow beyond just pictures and images,” said Yasushi Moriyama, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Electric Visual Solutions America. “There is a significant benefit in being able to present more information on a large display of any kind. We are very excited about using our experience to create a large-screen visual solutions company. This is a great opportunity to strengthen our commitment to the brand, our high-quality products and strong customer service, pre- and-post-sales.”

Other products to be produced by Mitsubishi Electric Visual Solutions America will include industrial and digital-photo printers, as well as photo kiosks.
