Mitsubishi offers rebates on popular items
The Irvine-based company is getting a jumpstart on holiday shoppers through its home theater promotions.

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products division is giving rebates on three of its home theater projectors – and with good reason. As consumers cut back on spending through the holidays, specifically on expensive electronics, the technology industry may need a little help in selling off its items.
Mitsubishi is offering a special on its HC1600, HC5500 and the HC6500. The HC1600 comes with a $100 mail-in rebate plus a free lamp for the projector. In total, this is a discount of $595 and ends Nov. 30.
The HC5500 LCD projector now has a rebate of $500 off its price of $1,995 – it's the same discount as last year, but the product has been upgraded to run more quietly and include stronger image shifting. And the Diamond Series HC6500 projector includes a $200 mail-in rebate, which brings the product's suggested selling price to $2,295. Both rebate promotion ends Dec. 31.
