Irvine-based Monarch HealthCare has partnered with Nifty after Fifty to open a unique wellness facility in Orange. Nifty after Fifty is based on the premise that older adults experience profound health improvements when they exercise both their bodies and minds.

“Our philosophy is to improve the overall health and well-being of the members we serve,” says Dr. Bart Asner of Monarch HealthCare. “In support of the large number of seniors cared for by our physicians in the Orange community, this partnership provides a safe and clinically supervised facility to improve fitness and mental acuity for the mature adult. Our members are very excited about joining this first center, one of five Orange County centers we plan to open in partnership with Nifty after Fifty.”

The 5,200 center, located at the corner of Tustin and Chapman Avenues in Orange, is now open to and accepting memberships for anyone over the age of 50.

The center was developed to cater to the growing baby boom population in Orange County, providing custom physical evaluation and coaching, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. Programs include “Brain Aerobics,” a series of computer and non-computer mental exercises designed to keep the mind and memory sharp. “Reviving Your Driving” is a cutting-edge simulation program that keeps driving skills sharp by challenging the driver to practice in almost every kind of traffic hazard and weather conditions.

Also offered are: physical therapy, social networking (with dating services, dance nights, makeovers, movies, book clubs, lectures, etc.), a MedSpa for massages, facials and body treatments and a nutritional guidance program.
