The stark reality is that the music industry is changing faster than you can say, “iTunes download,” with record stores closing and CDs becoming obsolete and vinyl? It’s something pool toys are made of. Music promotion has gone largely viral and Irvine’s myContactCard (MCC) is taking listener promotion to the next level with the launch of its unique e-mail signature music cards. MCC has formed partnerships with performers such as Keith Urban, Bad Religion, Secondhand Serenade and over 20 other artists and major labels to offer BuzzMail Music cards free to fans. Many artists and music lovers use social networking to promote their favorite tracks and artists, but now they can now spread the word with every e-mail they send, using MCC’s graphically rich signature cards. Each card is themed with the artist and includes personalized contact information from the user, links to the artist’s music and a link of the user’s favorite social networking page or other Internet destination.
